Flower and Gemstone earrings
Earrings are one of the most popular items of jewelry and are an essential part of any outfit. The styles of earrings are almost endless - from simple stud earrings to the fancy chandelier or drop earrings set with diamond and gemstone.
Our earrings come in two main styles - gemstone earrings and unique flower earrings. We also sell smaller numbers of austrian crystal and rhinestone earrings for formal occasions and bridal parties.
Our gemstone earrings range features dozens of styles of gemstone earrings with or without diamond, in gold or silver to suit your taste. The gold earrings are made of solid sterling silver, plated in gold (the combination is known as vermeil). The sterling silver earrings are not plated. Both the sterling silver and gold earrings feature solid 14k gold posts.
Our flower earrings range features unique orchid and rose earrings with or without gold-plate. The real rose or orchid flowers are preserved in lacquer and/or gold plated, resulting in a one of a kind earring. Virtually all these flower earrings are priced under $20. Please also take a look at other flower jewelry items we have on sale.

A brief history of earrings
Earrings are believed to have originated around 3000BC. The oldest earrings that have been found by archeologists date back to 2500BC and were found in what is now Iraq. Silver and gold earrings have been found in graves of Ancient Greece and Egypt, where they had been buried with the dead (then a common practice for jewelry).
In the Roman Empire of second century AD, earrings were often worn by wealthy women as a show of status. Gemstone earrings became especially popular and earrings decorated with precious stones such as sapphire, emerald and topaz adorned the earlobes of the rich Roman ladies.
Earring did not fare well in Europe of Middle Ages and Renaissance. Hair styles, elaborate head-dresses and high collars made wearing earrings impracticable to say the least! However, from mid-17th century earrings came back into fashion all over Europe and were a must for any fashionable European lady.
Large gemstone and diamond earrings made of gold and silver (called girandoles) were worn by the wealthy in 17th and 18th century. These earrings are the early modern version of the now popular chandelier earrings. Gemstone earrings and, of course diamond earrings, remained popular as designs changed.
Aalthough earrings are a trully ancient accessory, clip-on earrings were only invented in the early 20th century and immediately became very popular. Styles, gem stones and materials used in earrings will continue evolving but there can be no doubt that earrings will remain a very popular accessory.
